Field Application Engineer (Bluetooth)

Ellisys is seeking a Field Application Engineer (FAE) with deep expertise in Bluetooth wireless technology, experience in protocol test & measurement tools, and an ability to work closely with customers to expeditiously understand and solve complex technical issues.

Our customers include the world’s largest technology companies as well as smaller developers, working across a variety of markets and product categories, including silicon developers, makers of consumer electronics, wireless radio manufacturers, IP providers, test labs, automotive companies, and more.

Your competencies:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, telecommunications, or similar discipline
  • Strong knowledge of the Bluetooth protocol stack, including Bluetooth Classic (BR/EDR) and Bluetooth Low Energy (LE)
  • Familiarity with recent Bluetooth specifications such as LE Audio, Channel Sounding, or Periodic Advertising
  • Experience with Bluetooth HCI, radio-level concepts, and over-the-air protocol analysis
  • A background in test verification or validation, or qualification testing
  • Knowledge of protocol test solutions and use cases
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Bluetooth SIG qualification or certification processes
  • Familiarity with related technologies such as Wi-Fi, USB, or UWB
  • Experience with protocol analyzers or similar test & measurement equipment
  • Participation in Bluetooth SIG working groups or interoperability events

The job:

  • Assist customers in solving complex technical issues related to Bluetooth implementations
  • Track and maintain support cases using specialized software, such as Jira or CRM applications
  • Assist and train customers in use of our Bluetooth protocol analysis products
  • Contribute to the development and review of technical and test specifications
  • Occasional travel to support industry testing events, interoperability workshops, and customer engagements
